Simple Skincare Kind To Skin Purifying Cleansing Lotion Review | Simple Skincare Makeup Remover

Annyeong, Everyone~
I'm feeling bummed about my skin now. I have a hormonal acne on my right cheek. It takes long for it to go away.
I feel like I don't want to look at myself in the mirror, take photos and shit.
I'm conscious about my looks at this moment.
cries ;_____;

I bought this Simple Cleansing Lotion when I saw it on sale at Guardian. I think it was about BND 7~9 while its original price is BND 11 I think.

What It Is:

When your skin's happy and fresh faced, you feel healthier and happier too! Our Purifying Cleansing Lotion is a perfect blend of ingredients to gently cleanse drier skin to help keep it smooth and softened. Perfect for even sensitive skin.

How To Use:

Morning and night, apply to cotton wool and gently cleanse with upward and outward movements.

Ingredients:

Aqua, Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil, Glycerin, Isopropyl Palmitate, Polysorbate 60, Sorbitan Stearate, Panthenol, Allantoin, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Bisabolol, Cetearyl Alcohol, Methylparaben, Sodium Hydroxide, 2-Bromo-2-Nitropropane-1,3-Diol, BHT, EDTA.

Ingredients to watch out:

➤The preservatives used: BHT (6) and 2-Bromo-2-Nitropropane-1,3-Diol (7~9) have a high unsafe ratings.
➤The Vegetable Oil (3) and Isopropyl Palmitate (4) have a high acne causing ratings.
Ceteryl Alcohol is present in the ingredient but it is not high.

Consistency:

➤White Lotion-type texture
➤Scentless
➤Easy to spread
➤Leaves non-greasy finish
➤Leaves skin feeling refreshed

Effectiveness:

On the face: it works fine for light makeup and sunscreen. For heavy makeup, I think I will end up using close to 10 cotton pads in one setting.
➤I personally think it is not strong enough to wipe off/grab foundation + concealer at once, more cotton pads are needed. Unlike cleansing oils, they tend to be strong to 'capture' the foundation + concealer.

On the eyebrows: removes my eyebrow makeup effectively.

On the eyes: removes eyeshadows effectively BUT not strong mascara and waterproof eyeliners. I need to use a separate eye makeup remover to remove it.
➤Anyway it doesn't sting my eyes nor causes any irritation.

On the lips: it requires extra effort to remove strong lipstick/tint/liquid lips etc. It is also better to use a strong lip makeup remover, this cleansing lotion isn't enough

My Final Thoughts:

➤This is just an okay first cleanser for me to remove my light makeup/sunscreen/residues in the morning.
➤I'm happy that it doesn't break me out despite having the RED ingredients above. It doesn't sting my eye either.
➤I kind of got bored of this product so I might not repurchase it now BUT I might go back to it when I needed it. I also have some first cleansers to use up.
➤It makes a good light makeup and sunscreen remover if you are interested in getting it.

Disclaimer: I bought this with my own money at Guardian, it was on sale for BND 7. Always honest.

Immediate whitening, evening of skin tone and covering imperfections, who wouldn't want that? Of course, just like any other gullible person, I am intrigued by the promotional efforts and always eyeing on the cushio…
