[REVIEW] Nature Republic By Flower BB Cream SPF 35 PA+++

Nature Republic By Flower BB Cream SPF 35 PA+++ Review

I purchased this BB cream at a Nature Republic store at Spring Mall, Kuching. I forgot about its price. I mentioned this product in one of my haul posts previously (read about it HERE). I've been using this BB cream for quite some time now, so I can finally share my thoughts about this product to you guys.
First of all, I like the flowery design at the front packaging! The product says that it is a BB cream with corn flower extract that makes skin baby soft. The bb cream does make my skin feels soft when I first tried it at the store. The packaging holds 35ml of the bb cream. I got mine in shade 02 which is natural beige. The other available shade is 01 light beige. This is my first time trying out Nature Republic's BB cream. I do not know much about Nature Republic products since I barely get my hands on them, but I think the brand focuses on using natural ingredients only, same goes towards Innisfree and The Faceshop. I really like to try out brands that uses natural resources because I do not want any harmful substances on my skin.
Back packaging is fully in Korean so I cannot tell about its instructions or ingredients. I only understood the part where it says there are 3 non added formulas and one of them is mineral oil. I can't catch the other 2 formulas. The expiry date for this is November 2016.
The product features a cap where you twist to reveal the opening to dispense the bb cream.
At first, the opening is sealed with a protective seal. Anyways, I have no problem in dispensing the product.
The scent: it has somekind of a distinctive scent..I think it is the corn flower scent since it says the bb cream contains corn flower extract. I actually don't know how a real corn flower smells like though, but the scent is not unpleasant and light.
The texture: the bb cream has a light texture that is easy to blend. The finish however comes out as matte and not dewy. The bb cream makes my skin feels soft and smooth, as it promises to. On the side note, I do not think this bb cream has moisturizing capabilities.
Lets put on a test on my bare hand with no moisturizer. Keep in mind that the hand is kind of dry.
This is my dry hand after using the bb cream. Look at how the bb cream accentuates on the flaky skin >< and guess what, thats how it is on the face too! If you do not moisturize the face properly, the bb cream will come out looking flaky and dry on the face. The color, however blends well with my original skin tone. The bb cream does even out my skin tone, the coverage however is light to medium only. The bb cream covers a bit of blemishes and redness on the skin, but not deep acne scars and pigments. You need a power concealer to cover all those. Now lets see the result on a moisturized skin.
The result comes out better if the skin is moisturized. Theres no flakiness and dry patches and it feels smoother and soft compared to applying the bb cream on dry skin.
BB cream on moisturized skin with flash.
Heres the thing, I have an oily skin and though I moisturize prior to applying the bb cream on my face, I feel that the bb cream does not become one with my skin. It does blend well but I do not think that it blends enough. You want a bb cream that becomes one with the skin and looked natural. As for me, I do not like it when I am using a bb cream, and it feels like it is sitting on top of my face and looked obvious.
So in conclusion about Nature Republic By Flower BB Cream, it is not a bad product overall since it really smoothed and soften the skin when applying, provides good light to medium coverage, its just that it is not moisturizing. The BB cream does not even state that it provides moisture to the skin. I don't think the bb cream stays on long too on the face since it might dry out. Here are the pros and cons of the product;

Pros +
♥ Evens out skin tone
♥ Smoothed and soften the skin

Cons -
♥ Drying, no moisturizing properties
♥ Does not entirely cover imperfections

My rating:
It is not the best product.

Will I repurchase?
Nope.
