[REVIEW] The Face Shop Soft Cream Blusher in 01 Pink

Sunday, September 27, 2015

The packaging size is 10ml/0.34 fl.oz. There is only 2 available colors for this cream blusher line. The other color is coral (P/s I am not fond of the color coral on my cheeks).

Korean, English and French are written at the back of the packaging to describe the product name and its color. Somebody explain to me why does The Face Shop have a thing with French language? Haha.

The expiry date is stated on the bottom of the packaging. Here it says it will expire on 18th May 2018. However, if you happen to unseal the product earlier before the expiry date, the longevity of the product is 12 months/a year - stated at the back packaging (above picture).

A cap is used to open and close the product~ Product will be dispensed through the built-in tube.

My bare hands.

Taken in Auto mode without flash.

With flash.

So I gently rubbed the cream blusher~ Mind that the blusher is not fully absorbed yet in this picture.

I also tested how the cream blusher would appear on skin with BB cream. I am using Etude House Precious Mineral BB Cream in W13 (Natural Beige). The blusher appears beautifully on skin with BB cream/foundation than without.

The blusher is barely seen under a natural lighting ~.~

My Thoughts;

The color is not pigmented however, it is kind of sheer. The color shows well when photos are taken with an aid of flash. When I massaged the cream blusher until it is fully absorbed into my skin, the color is barely seen, and sooner, it disappears. Kind of disappointing anyhow. When I want the blusher to be visible, I had to dispense it 2-3 times.

This is a good choice of a cream blusher if you aim for a natural look. Another thing is, the blusher is not drying, instead it is moisturizing.

My overall verdict for this product will be 2/5. I am a bit disappointed about the color. Sometimes I give this product a green light when I am going for a natural look. Anyway, I won't repurchase and would gladly look for a better blusher with a bit of a brighter color~

[REVIEW] The Face Shop Single Shadow Matte OR02 Joy Peach

Sunday, September 20, 2015

Front packaging. Simple but pretty~

Back packaging. This is where I get my post title from. I am glad that I can read Korean English/English Korean whatever (English words translated into Hangul writing) well. If I am not mistaken, the code OR is used to indicate peachy/orange-y color codes in the cosmetic world.

The 'cap-like' packaging shuts the lid well with a click.

Here are some swatches. The first swatch here was taken using an Auto mode.

Second swatch is in HDR mode.

Third swatch was taken using an Auto mode with flash.

I am not sure if you guys can see the eye shadow well in my photos above and below because I applied it lightly.

Here is another free photo of me

My thoughts: It is darn easy to use with a tip of a finger. I love the fact that the eye shadow is pigmented and has a matte powder type. I do not use any eye make up base when applying, I don't have any eye make up primer nor an eye shadow brush yet lol sponsor me please. However, the eye shadow stays on my eyes for quite awhile, I give a 5/5 for this product because the color appears beautifully on the skin. I would like to buy some other colors from the same line. It is priced at BND 9.90 at the local The Face Shop stores if I am not mistaken.

Semester 2

Tuesday, September 15, 2015

Hello, everyone! In this post, I just wanted to give a little of my life update. I won't be posting about beauty reviews as much because I am already working my a$$ back in college for the second semester. I will do a review when I have a spare time.
In this semester, me and my comrades(lel) will be learning Employability and Professional Development, E-Commerce, Computer Systems and Project Management. Three of the subjects are sort of Business-oriented though I enrolled in a Computing course. I hope I will do good in those. I am still not sure how I am doing for the first semester since the overall results (assessments + exams) are not out yet. Now I have 1.5 years left upon completing college, InshaAllah.
Anyways, I finally had the chance to watch The Maze Runner 2 - The Scorch Trials!!!! IT WAS SO AWESOME AND MINHO IS SUCH A CUTIE PIE (ALWAYS HAS BEEN). I can't wait for the upcoming sequel!!!! Which is The Death Cure, if I am not mistaken. I have read the book series twice (consisting of 4 books, the 5th book is not out yet, I think). I will get my hands on the fifth book when it is released soon.

Here lemme entertain y'all with my selca which I took after the movie. Haha.

[REVIEW] The Face Shop Intense Firming MasCream Sheet Sample

Thursday, September 3, 2015

Hello, everyone! I can't help but to make another blog post again this week. It is so exciting, haha. I am trying to provide my readers with many active posts as possible because I will be going back to college soon, so I may not have the time to blog and today is my last day of work!

In this post I will be reviewing a sample from TFS which I've gotten recently.
I Googled the product and found out that they have various types of MasCream sheets too, such as; brightening, nourishing, moisturizing and the one that I've got is firming.

It is a small packet(3g). The original packet is 30g.

Anyway, the mask obviously would not fit my face I thought it could be stretched out but it could not. SO I just massage the face mask on my face. I did this right after toning, and skipped my usual skincare routine because it is really moisturizing and took awhile for the serum to be fully absorbed on my face. It left a shiny/oily feeling on my face, which I do not like. I also noticed that the pores on my forehead has enlarged >.< It took a few hours for it to be fully absorbed, even though I massaged my face well.

The scent? Oh gosh, it has some kind of light medication smell. Even though it is light, I still do not like it. I have troubles from liking medication-like smell from TFS. ;____;

I did not wash after applying the application on my face. Hence, I went to sleep with the serum on my face. The next day, I noticed that I've got a very tiny red spot like pimple on my nose and chin. I rarely break out on those areas, and I am sure as hell it is triggered by the MasCream.

My thoughts on this product? 1/5. -4 because it is making my skin looks oily, it breaks me out, I am not fond of the smell and it looks creepy.

The Face Shop haul & birthday greeting! X

Wednesday, September 2, 2015

Hello, everyone! Here is my TFS haul post, as promised! And today marks my second last day of work, wheeeeee.
Few days ago, I received a newsletter from the local TFS that they are having a promotion for renewing member's membership card. Members only need to purchase a total of $29 to renew their membership, instead of the usual $49! Additionally, once renewed, free gifts will be given! It is a good opportunity for me to renew my membership even though it expires on October. The promotion was only valid from 27th Aug to 31st Aug 2015. I am glad that I did not decide to renew before this happens. IT FEELS SO GREAT.

The first picture (above) are my purchases from TFS. For the face masks, they are having a buy 3 free 3 promo! (pricing at $3.50 each). In total, I've got 6 masks for $10.50. Next, I have always wanted an eye shadow which has a natural appeal on the eyes, so I have gotten myself some kind of peachy color shadow. When I tried out the tester, IT IS SOOOOO PRETTY. I wanted to purchase more of the different colors from the same eye shadow line, but probably soon/next time. Additionally, I have always wanted a liquid type/soft cream blusher because I have read that liquid blushers appear more natural on the cheeks than the powder type. Based on my personal experience, I must say it is true. I don't like it when the tiny bits of the blusher powder appears so obvious on my cheeks (only goes towards some powder blushers eg. Etude House's Cookie Blusher(((Sorry, it is not my fave >.<))). However, one of Missha's powder blushers did a good job in keeping it natural). I will try to make a review for both the eye shadow and liquid blusher. TFS liquid blusher that I purchased above comes with a tube. Peach/Orange-y color is available too but the color does not match my cheeks. Previously, I have tried Etude House's liquid blusher and I do not like it. It appears barely anything on my skin. It is a good thing that TFS's liquid blusher appears so prettily.

I left the receipt at my home so if I am not mistaken, I spent a total of $30 ~ $33 for renewal.

Here are the membership renewal goodies!!!!!!! TFS Shea Butter face mask, MasCream Intense Firming Sheet, Rice Water Bright Cleanser Foam, Perfume Seed Body Wash and its Body Milk. I gave the Rice Water face foam to my brother because he is running out of his face wash. As usual, I will try to come out with reviews for the free samples I've got.

The old membership (above) VS the new membership card (below). The new one is way cuter!!!!!!!
The sales assistant told me that the pricing for future member renewal will be $59. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

The following paragraph is advised by my dear bestie because on her birthday, she wanted to be promoted in my blog. So here you go HHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA
Happy 21st birthday to the person on the left in the above picture. I am sorry I can't be around during your day. See you in a few weeks time probably. X
